The Western Union Company and venture capital and private equity firm IBInvestor in the US, have partnered to provide cross-border payment services to global businesses.
The latest agreement will enable IBInvestor's global strategic media partners and its readership to carry global business payments and manage foreign exchange, using Western Union online payments platform, the firm said.
According to the US payment processor, now businesses can execute payments in more than 135 currencies, check real-time exchange rates and fees, and receive live customer support.
Commenting on the new business development, Western Union Business Solutions president Raj Agrawal said, "Its mission to empower people to conduct global business aligns well with our mission and an international payments platform is an important addition to their suite of services."
IBInvestor president David Enwright said, "With Western Union Business Solutions' platform, iMoneywire provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the tools to compete effectively in a global marketplace."
Western Union together with its Vigo, Orlandi Valuta, Pago Facil and Western Union Business Solutions branded payment services, caters fast, reliable and convenient ways to send and receive money across the globe.
