Danielle Caroline Long of New Bern and William McNeill Shaw of Clinton were united in marriage on June 15, 2013, at The Whitford Plantation with the Rev. Collin Adams and Patrick Norris, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Rebecca Long of New Bern. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Marilyn Norris of New Bern and Joe and Carol Long of Findlay, Ohio.
The bridegroom is the son of Doug and Becky Shaw of Clinton and the grandson of Peppy Hayes of Raleigh.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Nuptial music was provided by vocalists John and Laura Lee Honbarrier.
Maid of honor was Amanda Long, sister of the bride.
Charlea Abrams was the flower girl.
Best man was Doug Shaw of Clinton, father of the groom.
Madison Norris was the ringbearer.
Assisting with the wedding was Anne Robertson.
A pig picking, hosted by the bride?s parents, was held at The Whitford Plantation.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The bride graduated from UNC-Wilmington and is employed by Craven County Schools as a chemistry teacher.
The bridegroom graduated from North Carolina State University and is employed by Craven County Schools as an ag teacher.
They will live in New Bern.
